Break out the Boots with a Clutch Bag!

Time to Break out the Boots in New York City

Time to Break out the boots with a clutch bag!

The mating of boots and a handbag.  A classic accessory coupling.  Our mothers always taught us as young girls, that when dressing, a good fashion finale to bring your look altogether was to match the bag with the boots, and the boots with the bag.

I cannot tell you what a fantastic visual impact this really is.

It has been one of my most favorite visuals this Fall Season 2011 on the streets of New York City.  With all the different styles of boots that are now trotting the Avenues, it is so very interesting to see the choice of the arm candy on the lady…her handbag.

There are definitely different schools of thought on the mating of the boots and the bags.  Yes, anything does go and you CAN make anything work, for sure.  But when you source out and pay particular attention to how you complement your accessories with one another….voila!  That makes for the best, most impactfully, styled, eye-catching look you could present.  Advice here: pay close attention to you choice of accessories, as you want your choices to work with more rather than less of your wardrobe.

Take for instance these fringe boots we have here in this pic.

This is of course one of the trends for the season, the “Bohemian Look”.  Very flower child, sweet, innocence, extremely sexy. Great look when you want to feel relaxed and at peace within.

Please note how just the boots alone imply all of this.

Now, can we imagine what her handbag must be?  What would we choose to really carry this look?  Maybe a black suede bag?  Something loose and unconstructed?  If I were to pair a Clutch Bag with this look and those boots, the bag to the boots would be the Black Suede Satchel or Lingerie Bag, as it is also known in the Clutch Bags world.  I think when I was designing this Suede Satchel; I did have this sort of fringe, free flowing style buzz floating around in my head.  A style of bag that complemented the woman with a Bohemian sensibility.  A handbag that perhaps complemented her black suede boots…that put the final touches on and brought the whole look together.

Yes, another successful mating of Bag and Boots accessories….black suede fringe boots with a black suede satchel bag from Clutch Bags.
