This is the exact purpose of a shoulder bag, or a Mail Bag as we call it at Clutch Bags.   Could a handbag be described in its function any more exact than this?  Glori exclaims it so perfectly in the video.  And wears it so well.

Glori rode her bike to Greenwich Village right at dusk. Being a photographer herself, she knew exactly how to get right down to business and go with the camera.  She had a fresh look to her, even after a long day of being in studio.  I think it is her personal energy and the biking she does around the city.  Glori uses her bike as transportation to everywhere.

Which makes for a very healthy person.

Transportation to everywhere in NYC.  Now this is a very important, everyday matter here!

New Yorkers walk around, daily.  New Yorkers commute, go to work, go to the gym, go out to dinner and then go home; all this in one day.  And in doing all of this, New Yorkers schlep bags.  New Yorkers schlep handbags, purses, backpacks, market bags, grocery bags, suitcases, dry cleaning and pets.  New Yorkers are pros at how to carry and schlep their belongings throughout the day.  One has to learn the art of schlepping in this city in order to navigate one’s daily routine.

This is a serious matter in NYC. One is always asking, what is the function of the bag and what can it do for me throughout the day?  Can it fit into another bag? Can it carry other bags?  Is it comfortable to carry?  Does it weigh too much empty?  Can I actually show up for dinner with this bag after going through the day with it?  Can I check a backpack at the Opera?  What dilemmas.  What solutions.

Designers have come up with all sorts of answers to these dilemmas.  All sorts of bags have been designed for peoples’ needs such as; handbags, purses, satchels, backpacks, market bags, dog carriers, weekend bags, etc.

It all depends on your needs and your routine.  What works for you, and satisfies your needs.
