Statue of Liberty Inspiration

The Statue of Liberty serves as inspiration to Clutch NY’s Laura Dotolo everyday of her New York City life.  Why you ask? She sits in the harbor  right outside Laura’s window.  Yes, you heard right. The Statue of Liberty inspiration lives right outside the window’s view at the Clutch NY headquarters on  the Battery in Manhattan.

So, what does all this mean and why are we writing to tell you about all this?  We have decided to have Laura talk with you about this and  tell you why the Statue of Liberty means so much to her and Clutch NY.

Clutch NY, the Made in USA company that manufactures leather handbags and purses here in this great city of ours, New York,  is located at the base of Manhattan in the Battery.  It is the southern most point of Manhattan, a neighborhood that includes the Freedom Tower, Wall Street, the New York Stock Exchange, Clinton Castle and the Staten Island Ferry.  We have a fantastic office that has 7 windows on the 27th floor looking south over the Harbor of New York City.  It is fantastical!  I was lucky enough to stumble upon this space and recognize when I saw it that this was the space for a company like Clutch NY to grow and flourish.

And Voila!  With this view of Staten Island and the Verrazano Bridge with Lady Liberty in the foreground, there is only one direction to go and that direction is up! All  energy from this point has a course to success.   You can feel it when you enter this space.  I love working here.  There is never a day that is the same here.  The view is just so overwhelming.  At times, I find myself just so captivated and mesmerized by what is out the windows.  And I love seeing the action on the harbor with the boats and the weather patterns coming into New York!  It is all very dramatic. It inspires me to create, to come up with new ideas for bags, leathers, designs.  This space gives me inspiration.

Laura feels that the piece de resistance (the most important or remarkable feature) of the Clutch NY headquarters is the view of the Statue of Liberty inspiration that exudes from her presence in the New York City Harbor. She just represents freedom and limitless opportunity to those who want to work hard enough to make a difference in this lifetime.
