Made in New York City Rebirth

Made in New York City is being talked about more in the press and on the streets of the USA then ever before.  Have you noticed?  There have been countless articles, news reports, websites, blogs and banter about how the USA is bringing manufacturing back to this country. And isn’t this exciting for us as Americans?  What does all of this mean?

Clutch NY knows, because we have been manufacturing our leather handbags and purses in New York City for 15 years now.  When all the other handbag designers like Botkier, Kate Spade, MZ Wallace, were running to China for cheaper prices and cheaper goods, we stayed in New York City and continued to manufacture our quality leather handbags and clutch bags with the craftsmen and artisans that have been making our leather handbags for years.

Who else has been a major player in support of the Made in New York City effort?  Well, you have designers like Nanette Lepore, Nancy Gonzalez, Yeohlee, Morgan Le Fay. You have businesses like Brooklyn Brewery, Hanky Panky, Gothic Cabinet, Steve’s Authentic Key Lime Pie,  all business people that have not sold out on the American dream, on the Made in New York City dream.  They have remained state side to manufacture products they believe in and products they believe are manufactured best here, locally in New York City.
