Today, I have pondered the meaning of Labor Day and what the meaning of the day means to my company, Clutch Bags NY and to the prosperity of my country.
In the United States, Labor Day, the first Monday in September, is a celebration of the labor movement and is dedicated to the social and economic achievements of American workers. It constitutes a yearly national tribute to the contributions workers have made to the strength, prosperity, and well-being of their country.
This is the perfect day to take some time and think about your own contributions to the American work force in this country and what part you play in that force, be it worker or consumer.
At Clutch Bags NY, Labor Day is a day to celebrate an American based company that manufacturers locally, supplies jobs to Americans, buys raw materials from American suppliers and manufacturers and believes in the American dream. We are proud to say at Clutch Bags NY that we have always remained true to US Labor and to our product being a part of the labor force and prosperity of this country. Designing and manufacturing handbags in NYC has always been our vision and we have remained on our course.
Not a day has passed since the founding of Clutch Bags NY in 2001, that I have felt that Clutch Bags NY has been work. I have always felt that the work that has gone into the making and designing of great American made handbags has been truly only a huge Labor of Love. Believing in your work, being proud of what you are capable of creating and manufacturing with American labor, builds strength in the economy. To then be able to deliver to the US market a viable product that sells, spreads prosperity throughout the country. Knowing that the food chain of labor and materials is an economically healthy one for your business and your country, is how a good, true American company brings well-being to their country.
So, besides Labor Day being celebrated as the symbolic end of summer, it is the day to also remember why we work so hard. And how fortunate we are when we are able to work everyday on our true labor of love.
