Welcome to December everyone!
With Thanksgiving only a few days old, we are now into the month of merry.  In New York City, that means a busy calendar month of holiday activities and festivities. Clutch Bags NY would like to share with you some of our favorite December activities in this fabulous city.
First up on the schedule is the tree lighting at Rockefeller Center. This always comes up faster than you would think. It happens this coming Wednesday, December 4th. I have heard the 70-foot Norway spruce from Connecticut will have 45,000 LED lights. The ceremony begins at 7 p.m. and the lighting takes place at 8:55 p.m. So get your hot chocolate and head to midtown to check it out the lights.
How about getting some good fresh cold air in the lungs? I couldn’t think of a better way to do it than by ice skating an hour away at Trump Rink in Central Park. It is a healthy sized rink that is surrounded by a lovely scenic skyline. Definitely a great way to enjoy the spirit of the holidays.
If you are not up to dancing away your afternoon on a pair of sharp blades, maybe you would like to watch others dance the day or night away. Truly, there is nothing more amazing to watch on stage than the Rockettes performing their Christmas Show at Radio City Music Hall. Do these girls know how to dance? Check out this sneak preview.
Thinking about taking an evening stroll down 5th Avenue? It could not be a better time to  schedule this activity into your holiday events. The eye candy treats begin at Bergdorf Goodman and pinball their way down the avenue, going from Saks 5th Avenue, to Cartier, all the way to Lord and Taylor. Bring your mittens and make sure you have a hat! This activity is sure to get you into that holiday spirit.
